Professional corporate members
Any not-for-profit organization working in the professional field of dance, whether by calling on the services of dance professionals or by offering them services.
Professional dance association, company, specialized presenter, multidisciplinary presenter, higher-level dance school, university dance department, support and service organization.
General Eligibility Conditions
- Be a legally constituted corporation in Quebec.
- Have its headquarters in Quebec.
- Designate two delegates.
- Complete a membership application and pay the membership fee.
Specific Eligibility Conditions
- Companies, specialized presenters, and support and service organizations
Be supported by at least one funding body for regular activities. - Multidisciplinary presenters
Be supported by a municipality or funding body for regular presenting activities.
Supporting Documents
New Membership
- Letters patent, bylaws of the corporation, or constitutive documents.
- Resolution of the board of directors or written confirmation from the management designating the delegates.
- Financial statements from the previous year (except for certain entities).
- List of achievements or description of activities in the past year.
- Proof of obtaining a grant for certain categories.
- Proof of obtaining a grant and certification of the number of enrolled students for higher-level dance schools.
- Proof of professional status for all members of professional dance associations.
Renewal
- Renewal form.
- Payment of the annual membership fee.
- Constitutive documents and/or resolution of the board of directors if any modifications have been made.
Dance association, CEGEP offering a dance program, Dance-study program dance school, Specialized dance school, Network of presenters.
Eligibility Conditions (corporate entities)
- Legally constituted under a Quebec or federal law.
- Designate a person as a representative.
- Complete a membership or renewal application with payment of the membership fee.
Supporting Documents
First-time membership
- Certificate of incorporation and bylaws of the nonprofit organization (or description of the mandate for other corporate entities).
- Brief description of activities.
- Specialized dance schools: proof of subsidy.
- Dance-study program dance schools: proof of the existence of a pedagogical direction and the provision of 12 hours of dance classes per week.
Renewal
- Complete the renewal form.
- Payment of the annual membership fee.
- Provide the constitutive documents only if they have been modified.
